Or Yule if you're Ben, I suppose.

I usually don't get much; this year I got a few gift cards and some money. I used my Amazon.com card and some Christmas money to order 4 books and 5 DVDs.

Books:

The World Is Flat by Thomas Friedman
Animal Farm and 1984 by George Orwell
Air America: The Playbook
Hegemony or Survival: America's Quest for Global Dominance by Noam Chomsky (it was three bucks and looks intelligent on a bookshelf)

DVDs:

Office Space
TRON
Big Fish
Good Night, and Good Luck
The Office (US): Season 2

I think I'll use the Best Buy giftcard to get a game, possibly Sid Meier's Pirates. I also got a calculator, a James Bond edition Scene It? game, and an iPod cable.

What did you get?

Oh, I almost forgot about the totally sweet periodic table shower curtain (http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/gear/8a2f/) that I got from my grandma.

edit: and I also used the Best Buy gift card and some money I made from eBay to buy all five seasons of 24, yay!

A 250GB external HDD.
A leather belt case for my mp3 player.
Complete Robot by Asimov.
Amo Amas Amat... And All That by Harry Mount.
Constantinople: The Last Great Siege by Roger Crowley.
€60 voucher for the Gift Voucher Shop.
€50. Lifelines New and Collected by Various.
A music box that plays the chorus of Let It Be when you turn the handle.
Three jerseys, two of which are hoodies.
A hat with the words Duck And Cover on it in big writing.
Chocolates.
And a new phone and a pack that will aid me in switching to Vodafone.

In terms of what I like, the HDD, the case, Complete Robot, the hat (:D), the money and the voucher are what I'm happiest with. Oh, and the hoodie by Duck And Cover as well.

Now, I'm going to install Ubuntu soon!

I got... a shirt, and some skating wheels that attach to shoes. A present from my aunts. The second one really puzzles me, it's the sort of thing I'll never use and anyone who has ever known me would probably know that. But oh well.
I also bought myself GTA:SA for PC.
And that's about it.

Half of that was with my own various accumulated (work and Christmas gift) funds, though.

Civ IV (hey, they missed a trick there, they could have called it CIVILIZATION *gets shot*)Actually that's how Ben calls it. It annoys me since I can't tell CIV from Civ.
