I dunno whats the prog is but look if its in the right down corner where are all the pics, exit it first from there and close all programs which might use it and try then. I dont think this helps but cant think anything cos I dont know what the prog is

Check for it's process in task manager, if it's there kill it and try again. That's often what the problem is with these sorts of things.

And then install virtual PC, install windows in that, setup "undo discs" and use that for any software you don't trust. :)

Small tip: Don't just download any old programme you find on the internet, it can get you into all sorts of a mess.

I downloaded Arty FlashRipperIs that a flash saving program? You can get a free one from the IE7 site called Flash Movie Player 1.4. It allows you to save flash files from the internet. I used it to save The Demented Cartoon Movie to my computer.

You need a programme to do that? You don't just search for the file in the source and do it the simple way?

The Demented Cartoon Movie Oh Glod! Not that movie!! It's so.. demented yet funny! I like it!
*ahem*

Anyway, have you tried restarting the comp, so the proggy isn't even initialized and then try to delete it?

It may also be on startup though.

Are you not using Windows XP? I'm pretty sure that Task Manager displays all processes.

Try www.geeksuperhero.com or www.desktoparmor.com (they're the same program, just different themes). It might not seem relevant, but one of the available tools is an "in-use file delete" which is guaranteed to wipe any files that refuse to be deleted by conventional means.

There are probably other programs specifically suited to the task, but I'm not personally familiar with any.

If that doesn't work, go to Set Program Access and Defaults in the start menu, then Change/Remove Programs and see if it's there. If it is try removing it.
