It is a Christmas theme, yes, but in order to be original it would be foolish of anyone to submit a generic Christmas themed picture.

It's a very open theme, yo.

This was inspired by my Christmas Barbeque idea (which we're actually doing!), not sure the picture really works, but here it is anyway.

True but people wont just vote for originallity, the most probably don't even know that that's where the competition is about.

And why don't we add the rule that it has to be new art. Makes it more fun, and we don't get people like Splapp ruiening the competition.

this is a thread for art, not games. sure, splapp's sigworminator is nice, but it wouldn't take all that much to beat it on a purely artistic basis.

edit: well, not all that much from people who actually try to make nice arts and such.

Splapp's art is quite amazing in it's own way. As slick and huntakill's, for example. I'm sure you could vote on the sigworminator by the art contained in it.

Although like Apocalypse well remembered, this month's theme, apart from being christmas related, is originality. Therefore other people could win.

And about the new art rule. Dammit, that is new art. It's been released after the competition had started, how could it be considered old?

Of course this would benefit a lot of you guys who spend at most 5 minutes on your drawings (and it's noticeable), but most of the people that are here for the art spend hours and even days on their entries. That would prevent most of the good artists to even enter the whole thing. I know i wouldn't.

Like people will vote for Splapp's sigworminator just for the art in it.
