disable all firewalls and check if it still freezes.

Yeah, i dont have any firewalls on and i have tried reinstalling

Have you got the latest driver for the graphics card?

The latest drivers don't change anything.

As I have mentioned before, the 8800 cards from nVidia have trouble playing 2D DirectDraw games. I have started a thread (http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=27210) over at the nVidia forums, but I don't hope much... it's a shame that these high end cards can't do stuff like DirectDraw anymore...

I am having the same problem, and also just upgraded to an 8800. sadly this is the only game that hasn't ran faster from the new card, this one just crashes. mine won't even let me exit the game, I have to restart to exit or I just get a black screen. if any one has any ideas I could use them too

I'm having this same problem with my 2 x 7900GT's (SLI)!

I'm sure there is a way to fix it...

set the game to run at 256 colors in the propertie window of the shortcut/exe. then you can play it
