1 - pushing enter at least twice in a row while dropping cows will make you land AND will not allow you any retreat time.

2 - watching replays generally crashes mplayer windows gui and this also affects the official RC1 version of it aswell. (http://oss.netfarm.it/mplayer-win32.php)

heres a replay.... the last shot of cows is me constantly trying to retreat.... its a intermediate scheme with minor changes and no changes to retreat time.

edit: damn didn't know wagame files could be uploaded.... meh im sure you can decompress it.

I took over that replay with the tool-assisted version of WA at the point where the retreat time started, then tried giving input, but the worm did nothing. Franpa's right. There is a strange cow bug here.

Maybe WA needs a bug-tracker. Maybe not, too. Of course, "maybe" implies "maybe not".

When the user is on a Ninja Rope, if they fire 2 or more Mad Cows and press Enter a second time, the worm will drop from the rope. At this point, their turn ends with no retreat time. At this point, the user's retreat time will begin but input will not affect the worm, meaning they are unable to retreat and rendering the retreat time void.

After dropping from the rope, the worm will continue to drop the remaining cows; however, the worm will stop dropping cows if they take fall damage.

Steps to reproduce:

1.) Attach the Ninja Rope to a ceiling/overhang.
2.) Select the Mad Cows and ensure you are going to drop 2 or more cows.
3.) Press Enter to begin dropping the cows.
4.) At any point after the first cow drops, press Enter a second time.

At this point, their turn ends with no retreat time.Actually, this is incorrect. The worm actually gets retreat time (provided it landed without fall damage), but input does nothing for its duration. You can see this in effect by watching a replay of this bug and looking at the retreat timer.

Confirmed.

Because beef races are phenomenally unpopular? ;)

Because too much beef will get you mad cow disease.
Hmm, wait a second...

Maybe it had been noticed but not reported.

and this wasnt noticed earlier? if not then how could it not have with beef races and such? For me, it's because I press enter once when releasing weapons from the rope.

I bet it'll be fixed next time Deadcode comes around this place[, unless he comes here when he's just about to go to bed]. :)

why would you press enter twice in the first place?

franpa

if your not feeling well and are playing rather sluggishly anything can happen, and this is one of the things i noticed when i wasnt feeling that well.

to backjump, but maybe it's useful for something...

EXAMPLE:

look at the attachment, and if you are the blue dot, and want to hit the 3 red ones, you can:
1- jump backwards with one cow releasing.
2- the second cow hits the below dot.
3- turn to the other side to hit the 3rd.

so it may have a use after all!

In the case you just described you don't launch the cows with the enter button.
You do so while being on the rope, parachute, bungee or jetpack though.

oh... I though it was double enter (backwards jump), fire, and no retreat...
