Hi ppl.

I have a question. I have WWP and W4:M. Since WWP and W:A are going to be "merged" and W:A has several more features than WP right at this moment (as people say), should I buy it?
I found it in the "budget" section of my "Rent-a-video" shop (lol), and wasn't actually for rental, it was for sale.

It cost 6€ (same in dollars), so its REALLY cheap. And there are a couple of them, so I can wait... until the next weekend.

So, should I buy it even having World Party? Or I could wait to the 4.0 patch?

Thanks...

Nobody knows when the v4 patch will come out. It could take years and years. Buying Worms Armageddon now would be by far the most sensible thing you could do.

I have Worms World Party and Worms Armageddon on my computer, but I only ever play Armageddon. You won't regret getting it.

That's really cheap. Get it!
I paid 9€ a few years ago for a budget re-release that I found in a shop.

As others said, it could well take some while till the games are merged. Until that you will benefit from all the small beta updates in between.

you need w:a anyways because as everyone has told me this v4.0 patch is only for w:a which adds support for wwp cd... plus many other things... soo buy it now while you can.

No, you don't. The whole point of adding WWP CD support is so that you don't need W:A. But it could be years away yet.

Lol

Thanks anyway. I discovered I already have W:A (*ta-da-da-daaaaaa*), but the CD is broken (uuuuuuuhhhhh........ *sldjah alskdh nklhklmm ldkfhksj kjaSasdf, asijshflgdfo.* [??]). So I just got the new one, and it comes with the 3.6 patch! (*lame happy-surprise sound*) I just wanted W:A tho. :D

Thank you so much people, you deserve a...... uhmmmmmm.... uh.... ehhhh....... cookie? :p

Run & hide!
AFAIK, no legal source comes with v3.6. v3.0.5.0 is the highest (some prepatched Sold-Out versions and Trymedia).

:D you uh need w:a and need to patch it to play w:a with your wwp cd... not the other way around it was what i was told... you cant just install wwp and patch it up to v4.0 -.-

when i was asking about this myself it was made very very clear that this was the case.

The v4.0 patch will work for both W:A AND WWP.
How the hell would it merge the two games if you always needed W:A?
What sense would it make to patch W:A to v4.0 and then use the WWP CD to play?

its what i was told and there is some form of sense (altho not as much as making the patch for both games) if it was only for w:a... as changing disc only changes the content on the disc thus you would only see a difference in missions and music etc. but the files on your hard disk come from w:a and the 4.0 patch.

that is what was made clear to me every other time i tried to find out info on it.

Ehrm... you have been told before by Andrew Taylor that it will work with both CDs.
And no, it makes no sense if it only works with W:A, because that way you can't merge the two games at all.

As far as I got it right, WWP users will still be able to play the unpatched version of WWP, which of course is highly obsolete.

Wouldn't that change make wwp better than w:a? The wwp version of the patch would have an additional feature over the w:a version.

exactly bonz you can use both cd's off the one install of w:a and still keep the original wwp install along side it.

*Ahem*

You're all wrong.

(At least the way we're planning to do it now.)

Hmmmm, maybe the shop retailers patch the CDs or something else. Doesn't really matter, it works perfectly for me. I will ask them anyway.

Oooops, sorry, I forgot that I applied the patch right after installing W:A. So it wasn't prepatched. Silly me.
