But seriously, there are chests all over the place with rupees that are worth 100 rupees. Screw the silver ones. :p

IT CAME!

I was going to post the day it came but the reason I didn't was obvious.

Right now in Zelda TP I've just entered the Goron mine dungeon. I have 4 hearts.

PFFFF! Getting money is easy. Just go into the Ordon and Faron provinces and "Cut the grass" IE: slash your swrod at patches of long grass and sometimes rupees come out. When you find a huge patch of grass stand right in the middle and spin attack. You can also get hearts from cutting grass.

PS: Oh, and role into trees in the Faron woods and Hyrule field to! You get money from that as well.

EDIT: Locations of two chests with Purple rupees (50) in them:

1. Go to Link's hut in Ordon. Go down into his cellar and turn on your Lamp. There's a chest right there!

2. In karaiko village, try to climb the tallest building. Climb to the top of the bomb shop, follow the short cliff path, then into another building etc. Just keep going up and up and you'll get to a chest in the top room of the highest building.

Oh crap. (http://kotaku.com/gaming/wii/woman-dies-participating-in-wii-contest-228621.php)
Wow, this is a weird one, but so many people sent it in I figured I should share. A 28 year old Rancho Cordova woman has died from her participation in a radio contest to win a Wii. Some clever monkey at station KDND 107.9 out of Sacramento, thought it would be hilarious to hold a "Hold your Wee for a Wii" contest (get it?). Contestants were given water to drink and whoever could drink the most without peeing, would get the Wii.

According to one contestant, the lady in question, Jennifer Strange, drank at least five 8oz bottles of water in the first hour and even more afterwards, but no one knows for sure how much exactly she consumed. The coroner said that early investigation showed signs that her death might have been caused by water intoxication. It should be noted though, that this is NOT the official word as of yet, just the preliminary findings.

I think the saddest part of this story is that Mrs. strange was trying to win the Wii for her three children. Another strange death surrounding America's obsession with the new generation video game consoles. I must say, the mind reels.

Jack Thompson's on it.

Game ads tend to be quite stupid most of the time. Well, there are some exceptions like the Japanese Katamari/FF Potion commercials, but most of them are pretty crappily done. Also, the Pikmin 2 one with the midgets running around screaming "hotdog", but that was mostly unintentionally hilarious.

Why, what was wrong with Sonic Heroes and Sonic 360?

Besides being..."gay"?

The sonic series used to be a definition of being "cool". Now it seems like the games and the story lines are being directed towards younger and younger children, consisting of little girls.
I think SEGA might aswell just start making spin off games for Amy/Big the FAT/Cream/Charmy/ and every other annoying childish character. And then start making more serious games for just Sonic and the rest of the actual, important characters. Tails can stay because of seniority, but he's still pushing it.

Thats why I liked Shadows game that came out. Not that the story was that great, but at least it wasn't all this "LETS SHOW HIM THE POWER OF REAL TEAM WORK" crap.
Another thing thats been ticking me off about recent sonic games is the fact that at the end, they always team up with Robotnic for the final fight.

Even if they would start completly over with a new story line and everything, I think it would be better than them trying to link all this crap together in some half assed story line. Maybe the games could even get better simply because of that.

Sonic ATSR looks like being the first half-decent 3D Sonic game since Adventure 2.

It's more than half-decent, it's actually quite good, IMO.
The boss fights in particular are wonderful.
Which makes me HAPPY.

Also, there is no "POWER OF TAEM-WORK" moment, nor does sonic team up with his enemies.
Nor do any extras appear during gameplay. You see Tails, Robotnik and Knuckles during cutscenes, but that's it. There's Shahra, but she takes the form of the "helpful growing orb" that follows you around, and she really doesn't impose much.

The story itself isn't the most dramatic thing ever, but it isn't overwhelmingly childish, either. It's serious enough to keep from being bad.
The game is loosely based on the stories of the Arabian nights, in case you didn't know. Weird, but at least it means that there isn't a casino level. And the story really isn't all that goofy if you keep an open mind.

The voice acting is bad, though. Erazor sounds more like a drunk uncle than an evil genie. Thank god you can turn on Japanese voices.
And the music is abysmal, but hilariously so.

The party mode is obviously not for everyone. I, however, happened to love Sonic Shuffle, so it's a plus for me.

So yes, it's actually a fun 3d sonic game. Hell has frozen over.
I'm probably over-rating it, though. It certainly isn't perfect, but it's the closest Sonic Team has gotten to it for 5 years.

yeah, just picked up sonic last night. the game is good and such, but the sound is god-awful and makes me want to chop my own ears off...

from the abysmal voice acting (that makes an after school special look like it's full of oscar-winners) to the absolutely HORRIBLE music choices, the sound of the game makes me almost want to mute the TV while I play.

aside from that the game is pretty good. although I'm no fan of the set course design, they pull it off decently enough to be interesting.

Turn on japanese voices. Seriously. There's no way in hell you can take Erazor seriously with the voice 4Kids has given them.

And in the actual title screen they have an oriental song that sounds kinda neat.

Yep, SA1's soundtrack was probably one of the best. Reviewers whined about it being "cheesy" but it really fits the mood for each level. Back to Rush, I also enjoyed the penultimate boss' theme. Always gets stuck in my head.
Also, Secret Rings' music DOES sound incredibly cheesy. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2rfMIghLyo)

They'd never do that. 4Kids' goal is to remove every trace of their licensed show's Japanese roots, since different cultures are a "mature thing" according to them. No, I did not just make that up.

Actually, they are dropping the license in 2009 or something, so that's when it'll start having a small chance of getting outside of Japan. For now, I just hope there's a way to mod Wiis; Bleach seems pretty nice too. There's bound to be a lot of weird Japan-only games coming out, considering the control method. Unless Atlus is planning to support the Wii, that region lock is going to be quite a problem.

while I don't think the game-exclusive friends codes are necessarily going to kill anything, I do think that they're walking a very thin line between acceptable and crap. I mean, it could be pretty much the same as PCs, so I'm ok with that as long as you don't have to have a friends code to play online (I'm ok with random opponents), but it's still very close to crap.
