Keep waiting, a "Fatal error" should pop up after about a minute or two. Does it?

I have the same problem. I just formatted my hard drive, re-installed worms and it loads up, I click on WormNet icon, I enter my login info, hit Sign in and then it just sits there...nothing happens. I disabled antivirus and firewall to try to fix it. Same problem. Dunno what to do.

Does a "Fatal error" pop up after a minute or two of waiting, DeniaL?

No, I left it on for an entire 30 minutes while watching TV and it just SITS there. I'll go grab a screen shot or two so I can show you what I'm experiencing. Also if it's any help, I am using WA as a virtual drive (although I tried with the CD with no change). On my laptop I was having the same issues too. I switched from Alcohol 120% to Daemon Tools, reinstalled and then WAAMO! it started working. Tried the same on my desktop but same deal. Is there a registry setting or something that could cause this? Worms worked fine on my computer before I formatted, wondering if I changed a registry setting on my old setup.

EDIT: I can't take any screen shots. The colors get screwed up. But basically I can get to the login screen. I type my username and password, hit login, the cursor changes to a stop watch for about 1/2 second, then it just sits there and my only choice is to hit the EXIT button.

Do you guys have the latest update & patch? Are you entering your desired nickname in the nickname field, before clicking the WormNET icon, and then Autologin? :-X

A dozen of french players reported the same issue since Sunday. I'm still digging for a solution, but nothing came out as of now.

I know 2 people who had no problems entering WormNet before, but within the last week, they can't connect anymore. I don't know if they have exactly the same problem as the other people here, but it seems as if there's some sort of widespread WormNet failure going round. Is it a problem with the Team 17 servers maybe?

I'm still having this issue since I formatted my computer. I installed the latest updates and patches. I can play all aspects of the game fine, except joining wormnet. I don't know what to do anymore.

YAY I FIGURED IT OUT!! PeerGuardian was blocking the WormNET IP address. It just kinda came to me. I'm not sure why it's being blocked, but it is. So are any of you guys running PeerGuardian... check it out and let us know!

PeerGuardian is a program designed to block certain IP address's that could be bad, as far as when you download stuff on the internet. Also, it blocks ad's and spyware and junk as well.

PeerGuardian doesn't seem to be the cause for the other ones experiencing those issues.

Still digging.
