I just installed Worms 4 Mayhem and whenever I go to open it, It loads up to the bit where it says ''Loading'' and it exits for some reason. Can anyone tell me why it's doing it and help me fix it? I want to play Worms 4 Mayhem badly.

BTW it's the demo version, it happens on the demo and multi player demo too.

I had this problem too, and I fixed it by updating my graphics card drivers, and my directx.

Have you tried checking the "no movies" option? That fixes mine.

...I think you know about it, JoshJones1, but you can take new drivers for your grafics card from a site of it's builder... ergh... of company, that made this card...

cpu type/speed, system memory, graphics card type/memory, operating system, etc.

you can get all of this info by clicking start -> run. type in dxdiag and click ok.

the things you want from there are:
under the system tab: operating system, processor, memory, and directx version.
under the display tab, in device field: name and memory (of your graphics card).
under the display tab, in the drivers field: version

for example, my specs:
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional(5.1 build 2600)
Processor: AMD Athlon, MMX, 3DNow, 1.3GHz
System memory: 512MB RAM
DirectX 9.0c
Graphics card: NVidia GeForce Ti4200
Graphics memory: 128MB
Driver version: 6.14.0010.7189

i do not have a problem running the game. the above specs are more than sufficient. in fact, cpu half that speed should be capable of running the game without signifficant lag. besides, the issue is the game not starting at all. it's typically not a problem with cpu speed that would cause that.

The system spec looks good to me. I would check your sound drivers.

Penguins, i explained how to get your specs in this (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showpost.php?p=538504&postcount=9) post.

Luther, i did not post my specs because i have a problem, but only to show what kind of specs can be useful from the dxdiag utility. w4 demo ran fine on my system with these specs.

edit: here is what dxdiag utility window looks like.

Ok I found it here - 28808

NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64

Ok so can you help me now?

the problem is with your graphics card. nvidia's riva tnt2 m64 cannot run worms4 mayhem. you need hardware t&l to run it, which tnt2 does not support. all your other stuff looks fine, though, so if you upgrade your video card, you should be able to run the game.

(tnt2 is dx6 compliant, while hardware t&l became standart with dx7 cards)

"System memory: 256MB RAM"

Oh my GOD

The computer I call rubbish has 512MB RAM!

*checks box*

But it should be alright running the game.

Try closing all programs, inclkuding firewall and anti-virus.

Well, I never got to type this for a while, but it still does not work, even though I close every possible process that could slow the computer down. I bought the game 9 months ago and still have not played.
