Hey everyone,
Well, I was wondering if there were any files I could download to make the ai better. It just seems ridiculous to me that when I set the ai to 5 it can get pinpoint (not an exagerration in the least) precision with bazookas and grenades but it NEVER uses better weapons even if their usage entails no chance of friendly fire and their effects are MUCH greater than bazookas or grenades, and also when if you have an all melee battle (no weapons besides melee) then they just skip their turns and do nothing. I'm not good enough for multiplayer and I don't always have the ability to play a game without logging off in the middle of it, so I prefer AI under almost all circumstances, I just wish that the ai was more logical.

Is anyone going to work on an improved ai?

dando... i think they would just add more levels to the ai... like cpu 6, cpu 7 etc. because changing the original ai will affect mission etc.

Changing the AI shouldn't be easy, I couldn't even find the files responsible for it in a fast search.

Seems insanely complicated to make really good AI for worms, but heck, reasonably smart AI with some flaws every now and then would be better than what we have now.

I don't think anyone will add AI without having the source to do it with. You could maybe write another client that could pretend to be a direct-IP opponent, but that would be a real pain to do and you might need another computer to run it on.

Well, i heard DC mention working on the AI, I would give you about a million to one it's going to happen within 3 years.

heh, 3 years? I would probably say less than that. Although it probably wont get looked into untill the ew front end and scheme format are done as new AI would require new options.

Only legal if the wager is beer.

Rather than AI the roper...what about the jetpack? Surely this is easier, all it has to do is avoid objects and the patsy magic bullet doesn't do so badly....
