Hey all,

This question may seem stupid or weird or whatever, but I figured I could ask anyway. When starting up Worms 2 you get a Team 17 credits page first with some music playing. I think the same song plays in other Team 17 games as well, so I don't think it's just Worms 2. Regardless, I was wondering if anyone knew the title of this song, or perhaps where to find it?

It isn't in there.... The song is more Team 17 intros of other games as well, the same credit screen...

I think he means the music that plays over the Team17/Microprose logo FMV. No, that's not on our site and it's not included on the Worms 2 Soundtrack. I'm not sure if that track was used on any other versions of that FMV (I know a version of the FMV, removing the Worm-armup shots, featured in Addiction Pinball, but the music was changed).

Could be, but any idea on where to find that song? Or the title for that matter?

Buying Worms2 would let you get the FMV ripped off of the disk. It uses a compression format that makes it go wierd in Windows Media Player, but it works fine in IrfanView.

I think I can Help you get an MP3 of it...just give me a minute...

I have a wma ripped from the movie as I split the movie from the sound using MAGIX music maker 11 silver. Then saved it as a wma, and I'll upload it to deviantart now, so you can download it by pressing download at the side of the screen!

Got it right here (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/41502224/)!

Thanks but, that isn't the one I meant, lol XD

The song you ripped is the worms2 title song I guess. Hmr, if only I could get the game to work I could probably record it myself, but I'm not that lucky.

Oh. What song was it then? I don't remember any other music playing while Team17's logo showed...

Uhr, might ben an illegal version I have honestly. Intro.exe gives a single credits page first before it switches (without an intro movie) to fronted.exe

there is an intro movie and 5? sequentialy chosen movies... it always plays the intro then plays 1 of the others... but only if you select it to do that in the autorun :)

Seven! + Intro. And only the Intro has actual music in it, I believe. But anyway, they're probably talking about a pirated version and there's no way we can figure out which one they had without them remembering. Not to mention it's borderline illegal talking about it.

Groups that crack games are known for putting self-advertising messages into "their" releases and more often than not those are accompanied by a tune playing in the background. There are people who actually collect those tunes, but I don't know much about that.

damn you ******* ! i registered there to get it all and only AFTER registering it says that feature is no longer availible =\ AND they say to access it one of the things you can do is refer people to there site ';..;'

you just wanna get that stuff yourself, don't you !
What are you babbling about?
You can download the single songs of each album without registering.

I used a combination of the FlashGet download manager and the FlashGot plugin for Firefox and downloaded in seconds.

;) ye it's not necessary to register but if u want the MASS DOWNLOAD (download all songs at once) feature u have to register.

AND BTW THE MASS FEATURE IS AVAILABLE!
Perhaps some temporary server crash? cause now it works  .
Your download is ready, and has been added to your mass download list. You will be able to download it at any time from now on.

And don't be so aggresive...

Flashget (http://www.flashget.com/en/download.htm) is one of the best download managers & it's free. 100% Clean, Free, Fast!

And listen to other ppl before you post a ''lame'' comment :).

EDIT:
Flashgot is probably a plugin for mozilla firefox browser. im not using firefox.
I use IE 6 and the downloads are ok.
Flashget is a program NOT a plugin.
they are not the same ;).

Erm, is this legal?

Ag3ntSmith

I don't know i am just a user of this page.

You can see the About/Legal :

Legal
We will make every effort to comply with the law. If anybody wants their worked removed from the site, all they need to do is send me an email.

At the same time you have to realise that the market for video game music is virtually non-existant outside of Japan. This website isn't destroying the video game music industry, we're helping it to make it popular. Imports are horribly expensive, especially taken into account that the only people buying the CDs would be ones who already own the games, hence already own the soundtracks anyway, and chances are that very very few people could afford to buy any video game music without having listened to it first. This site gives them this opportunity, it raises the popularity of the CDs available here, and actually can increase sales in the video game industry.

I think they legally own the soundtracks.
Everytime you download you must agree with Disclaimer.

BY DOWNLOADING THE FOLLOWING SONG YOU AGREE THAT YOU LEGALLY OWN IT, AND THEREBY ACCEPT ALL LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY BY DOWNLOADING IT. IF YOU IN FACT DO NOT OWN IT, YOU ALSO AGREE THAT THE WEBMASTER IS NOT LEGALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN ILLEGAL ACTIONS AND THAT YOU ARE DOWNLOADING AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I don't think it's illegal , but im sure it is NOT a warez site. Remember if you have problems with legality you can contact them.
But i think it's okay

AndrewTaylor

Ah, this is special "internet" compliance with the law, then: it's compliance with the law upon request.

I don't believe for a second they "legally own" any of the music on that website, and I suspect they've no sought permission for it either. My money would be on the idea that they've put it up and remove only that which they are asked to and then pretend to themselves that that somehow constitutes "[complying] with the law". That's what most websites do.

It's most definitely NOT legal in the case of Bjørn Lynne's music, as he still has those (and others) for sale as downloadables from his page:
http://lynnemusic.com/worms2.html

Actually, it looks like those are the exact same downloads.

First of all I'm going to heavily apologize for resurrecting an ages-dead topic.

The thing is, I was browsing through some of my atmospheric-music songs and I came across the team 17 theme I had been looking for. Hobbes sent it to me at some point; it's an old recording and of poor quality. And I wondered why I never actually botered to upload it and show it here so somebody might be able to recognize it, and perhaps record it in good quality (if he or she shares my opinion that the song is totally awesome).

I've put it on mega-upload here for those who might be curious and might possibly recognize it...

Here's to hoping:

Thats not a Team17 song, all you've done is prove you or someone else with access to that computer, is a pirate.
