the same thing has happend to me.
A long time ago I bought the game, it never worked, after the logos appeared it just quit. Even after i got the service pack.
I ended up downloading a copy off the net and it worked.
I want to play it again now though, and i've installed using my cd, but of course after the logos appear it jusst quits.

any system specs?

try closing as many programs as possible
such programs may include microsoft office, web browsers, email applications, anything with "always on top" enabled, etc.

When the game loads it shows the logos, then monitor goes black and back to my desktop.
This could be caused by DircetVobSub installed with the Nimo Codec Pack.

You can also try to add the -nointro commandline in your desktop link.

how do I do that?
Right-click on the WWP shortcut on your desktop, add the -nointro command at the end of path in the target box after the last ", separated with a space.
(wwp.exe" -nointro)

Right-click the WWP shortcut and click "Properties" to bring up the properties dialogue box for the WWP shortcut. Then click the "Shortcut" tab, find the "Target:" text box, and enter something like"X:\path\to\your\game\WWP.exe" -nointro

, where "X:\path\to\your\game\" is most-likely to be "C:\Team17\Worms World Party\" if you didn't change the installation path. Do not change the path which is already in your "Target:" text box. Just add the " -nointro" at the end.

Sorry for my verbose instructions. I wrote them in case Bonz' weren't clear enough, after seeing that he missed a few things. I don't mean to harm anyone by posting these instructions. I am just feeling a little absurd right now. Excuse me.
