It's a plugin for WinAmp, mostly, which allows you to broadcast an online radio station. http://www.shoutcast.com

I have one up right now if anybody feels like tuning in: http://68.63.124.20:8000/listen.pls

Expect nearly any kind of music. :p

Back up.

I tried setting up a game music radio once, but the fact that I'm on a network (so no IP) pretty much puts a stop to it, much like trying to set up a server, hosting a game or any of the like. :(

I've gone a step further, I've hooked up a domain to my external IP :) . And I've got my old 'test' pc which runs my website and any other server I wish to set up. Believe it or not, but the UT2004 will run (and support 6 players at least) with only 192 megs of RAM, it'll even support AS-Mothership! albeit after you've waited about a minute for it to load that map.

Shoutcast?

Keep it down please, some of us are trying to sleep.

:D

EDIT:
I can't change the song! HELP!!!

EDIT 2:
Ah. Now I know what this is.

I can probably do this via the TCD NetSoc's Unix server. Don't think so, but still.

Cause I can't host it on my machine. Router + masked IP + non-permanent IP = I'm not even going to TRY figure this out.

...

So yeah I got bored and decided to set this thing up shuffling through all the game music in my computer. It might be on/off... whenever. :p

Clicking it won't do. You'll want to add listen.pls on the end.

http://217.129.40.146:8000/listen.pls

Might be interesting to make a radio station with our own idents and podcasts and stuff. Fill the playlist with songs and tunes and vocal bits and pieces from anyone who wants to join in.

Fine, it must have improved a bit. Winamp definitely needs the .pls.

Sadly some badniks have been leeching our bandwidth so I'm gonna have to put this on hold until that's settled.

Thanks to the 3 people that listened. :p

Thanks to the 3 people that listened. :pNow I have this bizarre mental image of Grounder and Scratch from Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog drilling holes into your server to steal precious bandwidth.

Obviously Grounder's doing most of the drilling.

I think occasionally about putting a Shoutcast station back up now and then, especially now that I have more actually good music, but I'm barely online at the same time as anybody else, hardly anybody else wants to listen anyway, and, well, I always forget. :p

Leeching whose bandwidth? How?

SupSuper

We've got a monthly bandwith limit and we've had some outrageous bandwidth counts these last days, like 20GB a day, which is absurd, and outrageous, and did I mention absurd? I don't think we even have the connection speed for such things.

So until the bandwidth resets next month, we're staying low and whining to our ISP. Here's a random assortment of things you can expect to listen to next month: http://supsuper.wurmz.net/stuff/supmusic.htm

:O I can't see Sunkissed! (from UT2004 CBP2 I think)Yeah I lost my direct rip the last time my hard disk went nuts so this is just a temporary... thing that I grabbed off the interwebs. There's also plenty of other stuff I need to sort tag and convert, I should get around to it... eventually.
