Dear Spaedg,
long time no see. I've come to inform you that Worms Armageddon doesn't work under Windows Vista RC1. Not only does the frontend crash in random places but it can't connect to any Wormnet channels either.
I speak to you not only as a conniseur of good old-fashioned Worms entertainment but also as representative of Poland, which as you may or may not know was one of the main contributing forces in the war against the people of Iraq. Your prime minister respects Poland and so should you, lest you forget.
I hope you understand the gravitas of the situation and the importance of my daily contributions to the balance of Wormnet. I'm one of the very few people who still practice the ancient traditions of T17, Elite and porn maps. I'm quite possibly the only person who's played the game for 21 years. What would Wormnet be without me?
I've managed to get a single player game going under very basic circumstances (and it worked fine), so my guess is that the problem has something to do with the clumsy frontend system. I know Cleanair's in jail for holocaust denial but I understand you have a new (non-nazi) person in charge of updating WA.
I know we've not always seen eye to eye, I know we've had our differences in the past ... in fact, the last time we met we were arguing about the merits of an Xbox version of Worms 3D. If I remember correctly you said "lol xbox, this **** won't fly!" but in the end you were proven wrong by gaming trends across the world, except for Japan, but I don't think the Japanese are into colorful, cute and cuddly creatures anyhow. In my opinion it would be tough to market Worms in that region.
I believe this Vista thing will be rather big, or even bloody frickin huge if you will, so unless you want to be proven wrong once again I suggest you mention Windows Vista RC1 support during your next meeting about Phoenix 2. I think I'm entitled to some respect as I'm one of the few people who have actually played Stunt GP (although it was just the demo, sorry).
By the way, I hope you can get that Unreel 3 Engine working one of these days. Not sure how it would work on a cell phone but who am I to question your licensing decisions?
