Hi, I'm just starting to play online, what a great game. I have a few questions for any of you experienced wormage:

I was playing online and I saw in the chat that a player turned on god-mode? Is this a cheat? Was he allowed to do that? What is god-mode exactly... because some of his guys were dying...

How do you fly with the Icarus potion (I bought my game from trymedia, so I don't have a manual...)? I can't seem to time it right and just end up making big jumps.

I've seen people 'tilt' the homing missile, how do you do that? I can pan, but can't tilt.

You have to drink the Icarus potion, after thet you jump with space in the air an when you press space again and again you can fly. At the beginning it's not very easy but if you practise it a short while it should be not problem

1: God-mode means that worms have infinite health, but can die by drowning.
2: The icarus potion is pretty tricky to use. You have to press space in a rythm to be able to fly successfully.

God worms is a wormpot mode. :rolleyes:

About the homing missile...I believe (99%) sure that the default for tilting the camera is by holding the middle (scroll) button on the mouse and then dragging it. You can also zoom in/out with the middle (scroll) button, hope that helps :).

I didnt know that was possible. That helped me out too and I thought I knew it all! Thanks :D

Thanks guys. I'll have to practice the Icarus potion then. Funny that I played a whole game in god-mode then and didn't realize that only water could kill people, but it is my preferred method of destruction. :eek: I'll try the tilt out too. I have another question regarding online connectivity (I've seen the article on ports and configured my router), but I'll post it in another thread soon. Ttyl.

tilting is done using the same button as panning...
except panning is moving ur mouse left and right...
while tilting is done while moving ur mouse up and down...
all the while the same 'Pan Camera' button is held

as for icarus potion, its not really the rhythm...
but it would help if you changed ur jump button to Right Mouse... and Space for Inventory (if you want).

Basically you have to hold on to ur jump button a little longer before pressing again (but dont wait too long before pressing jump again). What most ppl do is just tap repeatedly and fail.
Just think of it as real wings, you'll need a full flap to fly up, instead of a short flap of ur feathers.....
With mouse, its easier to hold it longer naturally rather than space....

Start by doing a backflip (hit space twice), then when you are in the air keep "making backflips" (tap space twice again and again)

I hope this got you flying ;)
