I am running WIn xp SP2 and when I install worms 2 and play it ver, 1.0 it runs fine, except the screen goes into this Austin Powers trippy color mode where I can hardly see anything.(it even happens sometimes with the trymedia DEMO version) I thought installing the patch might help, but after installing the patch it plays the opening videos, then says NO CD error. I have a C and D drive D being a recovery and C my regular HD, and only one CD drive. I have tried reinstalling 40 times, but the same error. Please help me out.

Brad.

Are you saying that you're trying to patch the TryMedia version?

If so, this is your problem - it can't be patched. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will come along with a solution to fix your colours problem :)

Try closing all background programs (MSN, Winamp, anti-virus etc) or disable their always-on-top feature.

I only have one drive and I have the original CD version of worms 2. I found it in my closet. Why does it say NO CD error after patching?

you used a patch for a different region of the game... try a different region for the patch.

How do I stop, or make it patch a different region? Is there a list somewhere? I appologize but it isn't ignorance, it's stupidity on my part!

..and BTW way thanks Muzer for making my worms less trippy. Hiding my Anti-virus and LAN icon, stopped the colors!

choose a different language... maybe you don't have the US English version.... maybe you got the UK English version... etc. just try different ones till it works.

Is your E: drive the CD drive (including virtual drives) with the lowest drive letter?
If not, install and run the game from the drive with the lowest letter.
(i.e. A: is lower than B:)
