Me and my Dad try to play Worms 2 across a Local Area Network, but the door is closed.

I looked around the boards and did everything:
We turned off our Windows Firewalls.
I added his IP address on my list.
We each have DirectX 9c downloaded and restarted the computers. It's installed and everything, as far as we can tell. DXDiag.exe tells us so.

But it's isn't working! It says closed door, even with all that.

What's up with it?

It worked!

We installed the IPX protocol.
