I recently got my rotuer setup and can successfully host a game.

However, when I'm done loading, everyone but my friend gets the "desynchronization" error.

Anyone know what this is and how to fix it?

Does this happen ALL the time? Have you tried playing with other friends and seeing if they get the same problem? Is your friend on the same network as you?

Perhaps everyone but your friend have their game patched and you two don't.

hmm. I think I had the game patched, my friend didn't, and I don't know baout anyone else. A different game worked fine.

Yep. The problem happpened again, it happens sometimes, randomly.

Also, another problem: At first I couldn't host because of my router. I did the necessary changes, and successfully hosted for a while. Now my friend can't join the game again.

are you on dial up? do you use an IP scrambler? does your IP change every so often? if so you will have to make the appropriate changes in the game to accomadate it.

a) i use dsl b) i don't use ip scrambler and just in case i checked my forced ip- it's the same as always
