hi all.....ah, its been ages since i last visited the forum(in my terms, an age is a day)..whatever

sometimes, or rather most of the time, when the map is being downloaded when i join a game, an error crops up that data/temp.thm wasn't found...how to cure it??

the funny thing is that if i put my team before the map loads, this error comes for sure....but it rarely comes when i put my team after the map has loaded....and also if i chat too much before my map loads, there are chances that this error will come...
pls help

Delete the file in question. No harm will come from it, but I'm also not sure whether it'll fix the problem. Worth a try, though.

If it doesn't, what version of the game do you have, Mr Cyborg?

i hv deleted the file a lotta times, mr.nogard...:P
but its effect stays only for one game....after it, the problem again starts troubling me(and the host)
i am using the latest version-3.6.25something........IT IS AN ISO OF ORIGINAL

Best buy the game then, my Indian friend. It's very likely the faulty .ISO file's causing it.

How is that likely? ISO files are direct copies of CDs. If his ISO file was "faulty", it's more likely he wouldn't be able to play the game at all.

Thetopcybo, have you tried deleting current.thm and temp.thm together? I have no idea if that will help, but it's worth a shot.

Rather than deleting it, try right-clicking, going to properties, and checking if "read only" is selected. If it is, turn it off.

It will not. However, try following M3ntal's advice.

i wus hv done that but if u ppl haven't experienced this error, u mustn't hn noticed that until there is no error, the temp.thm file gets automatically removed when online game is done and it is created again when we play online......but when the error came, i checked the attributes of the file, and it wasn't read-only

did you install the game onto a compressed partition? (hard drive)

I created a thread for this a couple of months ago. I solved it by deleting the temp.tmh file from my folder. Until now, it seems the problem is solved :)

hmm, you cant solve the problem this way
when map upload (from server) starts game create this file
when map is uploaded this file contain last map
later, game automatically delete this file
so your way is wrong :)

i have slow connection, so i think that cause of problem is internal game file management
when upload time gains ~10-15 seconds game close the file (i thought)
maybe there in any timeout or etc
