I Purchased Worms Armageddon through yahoo games. The download came with the update patch 3.0.5.0_Beta_2.

I am not behind a firewall. I was able to connect to the online server and almost joined a game when i was given a message that said i needed the most recient update.

So i went to the Team17 site where an update is available but because i purchased the game through yahoo games I do not have a install CD so my question is:

If i want to play online but need this new patch .. Where is the update patch for users that purchased the game online?

I even tried to apply the NEW patch but use the WA.exe from the 3.0.5.0. update.

This did change the login screen for Online play .. but when i try to join i get a fatal server error and i can not join.

ARRRRGR! HELP!:D

You have the TryMedia version, for which there is no update, unfortunately. I suggest you get your money back somehow and buy a CD version, which costs much less than the TryMedia version, even with shipping to wherever you are.

Unacceptable.

If the people that buy the game online are restricted in its use then Team17 is killing alot of market for WA. Hopefully they will wisen up and release a patch that allows people in my position to fully enjoy the game.

team17 would rather u buy ti from them, u kno it does say u cannot patch trymedia. It says it on this site, not sure baout on trymedias, so this is ur fault.

man if it's cheaper to buy it here anyway, what inspired u to buy trymedia?

Team17 have no say in the matter. It's Trymedia's fault.

You aren't really restricted in its use. I believe you can play just as well with other people who have the same version of W:A. However, your version and the latest beta updates aren't compatible.

AFAIK it is TryMedia who modifies the executables so they can be played without a CD. I believe there was a statement that TryMedia will not create TryMedia-compatible patches of W:A until the next stable (non-beta) version. Either way, Team17 isn't responsible for TryMedia-compatible patches. (or that's as much as I know)

Yes, you can play with other people using versions up to 3.0.5.0.
Though I'd say that these are <2%.

Yes, they do that so you can't play the game after the trial time has expired. Some 20 minutes I think.
