In Worms 2, you get to do things that you can't in the later games like...
Shoot the rope straight down
Customize the weapons more, like how big of an explosion it makes, the angle the worms are thrown, how many clusters ect...
The menu is a lot easier to deal with, and you can select all of your options more quickly...
Now, I could be wrong about something, because I have only played the trial of W:A and WWP...but it seems that Worms 2 was the best to me, what do you guys think?

Well, you're right about the customization bit. The menu is fine, though I don't see how it's better than any other Worms game. As for shooting the rope straight down, I'm not sure, I can't remember and even though Worms 2 is right on the shelf next to me, I can't be bothered to look. :p

Anyway, hope that helped.

Everything is pretty much as customizable as it possibly can be, and there are a few crap glitches like crate glitches, but also some useful ones like shooting rope straight down, which is possible: http://computerhead.biz/forum/viewtopic.php?t=174
It's a great worms game, and my favourite :)

It's mostly true, but the menus are definetley more user-friendly on WA. Comes with the lack of complete customisation, but even that's being worked on. There are actually still patches being released for WA, you know.

Another thing is online play. WA's WormNet is quite busy and works flawlessly most of the time. On the other hand, having a router just about prevents you from playing games with more than 2 people [including yourself] in them on W2. And the W2 server isn't too active anymore.

So if you don't mind the online bit, W2 sounds like a good deal. Otherwise I'd go for WA, but Reg here's going to murder me if I go on with my fanboy speech, hah.
