Hi all,

Bought Worms: A yesterday. The Sold Out version. After installing it as well as the patch on the disc i ran into a problem.

About 3 goes into any game, the colour goes completly do-lally. Shades of pink, blue...it's like a tripped out photo negative.

I've browsed Team 17's FAQs looking for help as well as installing their latest patch but no joy.

Any ideas? My system specs are

Windows XP
RADEON 9500/9700
512 RAM
AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2200+ 1.80 GHz

Please help. I want to get my wormage on.

I'm very sorry to hear that the same problem that I used to have has arisen once again (). I fixed mine by downloading the latest drivers for my graphics card.

I've tried that. Downloaded these drivers from ATI....

https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&folderID=293

......as i reckoned they'd be the suitable ones for my RADEON card BUT it doesn't seem to have made a difference.

Have i chosen the right drivers? Are their more suitable ones to get?

Have you updated the drivers, though?
Right-click on the desktop and choose Properties. Then go to the Settings tab and choose Advanced. Then choose Adapter and click Properties. Then choose Driver, and then Update Driver...
Let it connect to the internet and install it accordingly.
It should work...

It says

"The wizard could not find a better match for your hardware than the software you currently have installed"

It can't be that then............bugger.

Disable any applications which steal the default focus.
Like Winamp and such things.

Still doesn't make a difference

Including things like MSN and Norton which bring pop-ups up occassionally and can steal focus.

It is still unaccptable that this ever became a bug in the first place...hopefully deadcode will fix it. I created few games and I would have been aware of a problem like this (losing focus "bug") from the beginning and fixed it.

To be fair I'm just happy to be able to:

a.) Play W:A on XP;
b.) Minimise at any time.

I see your point, though.

So what would you guys suggest then? Just closing down every possible application?

So what would you guys suggest then? Just closing down every possible application?I suggest closing them one-by-one and checking between each one if you get the bug, so you can isolate the offending application and disable its popup/always-on-top features.
