Hello,

I downloaded the WWP Demo.
On my laptop, it works well.

On my desktop, it doesn't:
I have windows XP, my graphic card is a nVidia GeForce2.
When I launch the game, It works: I have the scree "team17", then the "titus", then the "WWP Demo".
I click on the screen and I correctly arrive to the principal menu.
I click on "go to the single player menu" and correctly arrive on the sub-menu. But when I click on "Play a quick game against the computer, I have a black screen and no game seems to be loading...

I downloaded and installed the latest version of my graphic card driver, and also of directX, it doesn't change anything.

Do you have a suggsetion of what I should do?
If I simply buy the game, will I have the same problem than with the demo?

thx for your help,

Biosox

How does the Worms Armageddon demo fare on your PC? Really, if you are looking to buy a second-generation Worms game, you should be buying Worms Armageddon, as it is still being updated, has more features, and is much less buggy than Worms World Party.

Lex, get ur research right. The WA demo does not work on XP.

Ah, right. Of course, I've never encountered that problem since I haven't played the WA demo since 1998. :p

Skip playing the demoes and just buy Worms Armageddon then. ;)

Just in case somebody faces once the same problem than me: I found the problem.

I use a firewall, Kerio, which prevent an application to launch another application without my authorisation.
When it happens, A pop-up appears asking me if I allow the "XY" application to launch another one.

In my case, "worms world party" was trying to launch "I-dot-remember-what", but I was not able to see the popup message as the screen was the game screen.

So I just had in my firewall option to allow WWP to launch others and now it works.

I'm glad you got your problem solved! Software firewalls can be such a nuisance. :(

By the way, that's very nice Castle In The Sky avatar you have there. :) The border's a nice touch, too.
