A lot can be said about the maturity of a forum when something so simple as a relationship seems to spawn all sorts of conspiracies, evil plans and just overall messes.

The love-triangle-whatever which seems to involve Kelster/Plasma/agent luke/BuffaloKid/etc, the fact that any attempt to draw them apart is considered OMG CONSPIRACY, etc.

I dunno how much is serious or not, but the whole thing is just so ridiculous it's funny to watch.

It's quite easy to literally fall in love on the internet. A lot of barriers that prevent people from taking the opportunity in real life are removed and it's easier for the person with the bug to control the process. There is rarely any concrete reason for the relationship to start, it's usually formed by each person convincing themselves that, due to the ease with which it happened and the accessibility, it was meant to happen. The fact that it's illogical how two people can fall in love over a few text-based conversations boosts the person's belief in that. The lovers think that if they hadn't had taken the opportunity it would have been wasted. It's a big emotional trap.

Looking at some of the posts and Plasma's comment on the picture of the she-devil, I get the impression they're at the stage where they're starting to question the relationship and interpret each other's comments and responses negatively, slightly suspicious that the other person's feelings have changed. One of them will probably break it off, most likely the one who didn't initiate the courtship.

It's normal for boys and girls their age and should be looked back on as natural behaviour, not an embarrassing mistake. I've had a reasonable amount of experience in this. Then again I could be too analytical and not 'natural' enough. I'm 23 and partnerless.

It's perfectly possible to fall in love online (I know I have), just like it's possible to fall in love for any other number of reasons. But unless you can actually meet, the distance factor will slowly but surely tear it apart.

Then again, for all I know, one of them could've just decided "I'm gonna start talking to this forumer on MSN", develop interest and eventually start a relationship.
