Try typing into internet explorer, or your preferred internet browser the following addresses:

http://172.16.0.1
http://192.168.0.1
http://10.0.0.1

To take a screenshot, press the print screen button on your keyboard. Open up your favourite image editing application and create a new image - then choose "Paste" from the edit menu.

Also, try http://192.168.1.1. That is more common, in my experience.

It looks like this
IP Address 192.168.15.100
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.15.1

I looked in whatismyip.com and got this.
ip 71.227.18.167
This might help but i do not understand it.
.RIGHT HERE. (http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Linksys/RT31P2/Worms_Armageddon.htm)

Are you sure it says "worng" somewhere? I highly doubt that. Also, I doubt it says "?????". Were those your own additions to what it says? If so, please explain them. I am not sure what you mean by saying that your IP address is wrong (, as I assume "worng" is a typo of.). How can the information you are getting from your router possibly be wrong?

A little, evil gnome living in it?

Run

Oh it's a gnome problem? You need to contact your router's manufacturer for that.

If it's too complicated for you to handle on your own, you should answer Run's question above: "Who installed your router?"? It's possible that you can ask the same people to configure it properly.

Otherwise, post the screenshot of the first step you're stuck at. Whether it's your router's configuration screen, login screen, empty desktop, a photo of your turned off computer, we will at least be able to tell you what exactly you should do next. Save the screenshots in Paint, and upload them to this forum or a free image hosting service (http://imageshack.us/).
