ok, well i have burned copy of worms armageddon and for some reason it isnt being recognized by the game when i try to run it. being a burned copy is besides the issue as i have used it for many years with no problems. i have uninstalled/reinstalled wa many times but i still keep getting the "please insert the worms armageddon..." error every time. im not even installing the patch when i do try to run it (even with the patch, nothing happens). i have never had this problem before and i cant think of any reason as to why it is happening. any suggestions?

Edit: when i say patch i mean the beta update

did you update it then apply the beta patch?

nope (unless thats whats im supposed to do)...clean install, then beta patch -> no cd error
...clean install, beta patch, then update -> no cd error

whats confusing me most is that is used to work but then i left it alone for a few months so when i tried starting it up again i get this no cd nonsense. the only thing i can think of is that the cd is somehow damaged, but that doesnt make much sense since i can install the game perfectly.

uh the game would refer to data on the disc that hasnt been touched during the install... which means that your disc could be defective in areas unrelated to the install process.

Yes. Also, don't be a ****. Go out and by the game! It's more than likely less than the equivilent to £10 including shipping to australia at https://secure.team17.com !

That's dirt cheap!

You know, CDs can degrade over time and data gets corrupted, CD-Rs even more.
(Heck, CDs can even get mouldy.)
So, you need to get out your precious original game CD and do a clean re-install.
www.nanacide.com/wahelp has all the info.

Huh?
You don't have an original CD?
Do what Muzer said and buy the fưcking game!

rofl, calm down guys. no need to get worked up over such a small thing. ah well, if worst comes to worst i'll probably just give up with looking and forget about the game as i have done so many times.

no need to get worked up over such a small thing.
That's not a small thing. It's piracy.

And talking about it on the developer's official forum isn't only highly stupid, but also a bannable offence according to the forum rules.

I'm not perfectly sure, but I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and hope that was sarcasm.

Nope. No sarcasm in this thread yet.
