Well, I felt a little nostalgic and decided to have a look at the T17 forums. There's alot of new people around here, from what I've seen.

Anyway, I decided to post some of my work since I'm here already. I've been laying worms off to get some practice at drawing humans! *gets shot*

Linky:

http://img346.imageshack.us/img346/3677/photo0066wk.png - That's me, in a cartoonish way.

http://img345.imageshack.us/img345/6913/me7ot.png - Me again, in this pose... for no actual resons, really. When I finished drawing it, I noticed that the right leg was mispropportionned, meh.

http://img345.imageshack.us/img345/1714/ffximonk7ld.png - My FFXI monk at level 5, the only thing I hate about that drawing is the small details I made. I really hate how it turned out.

http://img283.imageshack.us/img283/9818/firstrealfemaleattempt8va.png
- First REAL attempt at making a female human, and I like how it turned out.

http://img310.imageshack.us/img310/1296/inked7dk.png - Inked drawing version of the above drawing. It's also my first real attempt at inking.

VERSIONS:

http://img421.imageshack.us/img421/3111/inkedcolored1al.png - Non-layered
http://img363.imageshack.us/img363/4862/inkedlayers7uq.jpg - Layered

http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/2105/icedude9xc.png - Some ice guy. A friend of mine had an idea to start a manga together, and he asked me to draw some stuff and see if it would fit in the story, so here's a little doodle.

http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/7231/kiba7zo.png - Kiba! From Naruto (He's my fav character in the serie, thought he doesn't appear often :( ) . At some point while drawing him, Iforgot to add Akamaru somewhere in there, so I made a quick 10 min draft of him on the top and it looks really awful.

http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/9572/mangaguy6xy.png - Some random guy I drawed.

http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/9682/squishysquish2zy.png - In my class, there's a guy who always follows me and my friends. He always get on our nerves, so I've drawn a pic of him getting crushed by a giant shoe (the annoying guy is on the left. The guy on the right is one of my friend, thought I don't have anything against him).

http://img354.imageshack.us/img354/2356/weird8ix.png - Don't ask.

Oh and. since there's needs to be some fan art, here's a quick 5 minute drawing of a worm :p

Dear GOD!
It's Bucket!

And I love all of that stuff. It's on the nob, it is.
I'd highly recommend loosening up your poses, though. Most of your poses have stiff arms and stuff.
You know... using curves for the arms/legs etc. rather than straight lines.
Whether it would look good, I don't know. You've gotta experiment, though.

And I certainly hope you won't leave off again, but that's probably a tall order. :p

Nice cartoony style, man... even though there's still room for improvement, i like it.

Like PB said, some curves on the arms and legs would bring more naturality to the poses, you should draw some "proportion dolls" before start drawing the final version; that usually helps a bunch to get cool looking poses.

And...omg, lol at your avatar, PB... nice one... :)

Well, it's certainly been a while.

Yeah, this place has gone to Hell in a handbasket. :p

Nice stuff Bucket. It's been a while.

While sometimes your limbs may look too straight, don't overdo it with curving them.

Very nice work! I love your style!

Do you have a DA account? If not, you should get one.

kick @ss humans!

reminds me for some reason of my own style of drawing humans (which none of you have seen yet) exept they're real human size...(mine are midgets, ya see)

keep up the good stuff

Yeah... keep that in mind, too. Outrageous curves are difficult to make look right. I drew my people with broken arms for a while before I decided to tone down the curves a bit.

Welcome back Bucket, awesome stuff there, as always. I especially like Kiba (naruto for the WIN.) and that 'ice guy' as you call him. :p

Bucket, old buddy old pal! Good to have you back!

Some nice drawings there, you should ink and colour them like the girl picture, they'll look very nice.

Nice humans! I also suggest like the others: curves, please! Try using some cylinders for guide lines... if you use them.
I also like the lone worm.:D

Thanks for the warming "welcome back!" posts guys!

And about the loosening my characters poses, I'll try to make that out in other drawings. In fact, I was trying to make one at school but I didn't get time to finish it, and now my scanner isn't working =/

Also, I have no idea if I will stay since I just thought about showing what my current drawing style looks like (and how it improved). But while I'm still here, here's some more drawings for you

http://img117.imageshack.us/my.php?image=itoldyouiwerepainting1ge.png - Girl face I made in paint

These are more recent drawings than those I first posted here, I hope you enjoy them!

The long fringe makes it look like he has no pupils.

Scary.

Good all the same! :D

Those recent pictures look good!!!:-/ (Y)
I like how the legs are all short, makes them look very cartoony. The eyes are cool too! The manga-like-ness!
I am such a manga freak

I don't really see a resemblance.
Probably because everything else looks enough NOT like animé (Or manga, or whatever.) to be original.

Are you refering to the pupils? Because that's just common drawing. Even I do my pupils like that.

Sweeeet style for people! Cartoony is good, and it's unique...
Also, that guy with the huge nose and what appears to be a nostril in his tooth is AWESOME.

No, the whole eye itself. I read alot of the manga, though. I think I could look at almost anything and say that.

No, the eyes have the top and bottom outlines drawn, but the sides just show the whites. That's the eastern style.

Kelster23

You mean the top and bottom eyelids??

Pigbuster
22 Jun 2006, 05:50
Maybe.
That makes a bit more sense, I guess.
I meant that the outlines of the eyes are only on the top and bottom.
