Is there any way to see which version of Worms 4 is currently installed? I know: UK version is 1.0, and US version is 1.01. But how will someone in... India :) know which version does he have and does he need patch or not?

ThanX!

One way is to look at the box. If it says Codemasters, it needs the patch (Or do they ship it prepatched by now?). If it has the Majesco label, it is already patched.

I'm not quite sure, but I think the version number is also displayed in the game itself. I think it is in a corner of the main menu screen.

Have a look on the box. If it says: "Majesco", then you DO NOT need the patch. If it says: "Codemasters", then you DO need the patch.

EDIT: Beaten!

Will a game sold in India still be published by Codemasters/Majesco though? They could publish under another name in for different continents.

Can't you just view the properties of the Worms4 .exe (not sure what it's called as I don't have Worms4 - or a PC) and have a look at the 'version' line?

Thanx, this works! I just checked "version" tab under worms 4 mayhem.exe properties, and I found out that I have version 1.0.0.1. But I'm still not sure this if is the latest version, because patch version is 1.0.1 and this is not equal to 1.0.0.1 :D

It says 1.0.0.1 in the .exe file of my patched version.
However, the .exe file might not have been changed in the patch, so it might still be the same number as the unpatched game.

Did you look at the box? Does it have the Codemasters or the Majesco label on it? I'm sure they would have mentioned another publisher on www.wormsmayhem.com or somewhere here in the forum, which they didn't, so I don't think there is one, thomasp.

If it says Codemasters or Majesco on the box take a look at the former posts.

I bought the game from my friend for ~15$, and he didn't gave me the original box (I don't know why, and I didn't ask him). I think he wanted extra money for fancy box :)

what about when you load the game? before "team17" is displayed, will be another company. (hopefully codemasters or majesco)

This is definetly not the best way of finding out, but if you have a flatrate or a fast internet-access you could simply download the patch and try to install it.
If it works, your game is patched afterwards, if it doesn't it was already patched. ;)

It'll say if it was by codemasters on the CD
