Are the worms 3d maps comaptible with worms 4, and can they be imported?

Edit note:

The information below is not technically correct - I was getting confused over which game was being talked about...

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Search the forum - it involves breaking the forum rules discussing how to do so here.

Short answer: Yes
Long answer: It doesn't actually break the rules - can you call moving a file breaking a forum rule?

I've posted the steps many times, and i'm not banned...

Sorry, was getting confused with W4 maps on W3D....

Essentially, yes you can, but you will sacrifice some W4 maps for it - the forum search reveals more answers.

that does not break rules either. that broke rules because it was first done before w4 was released, using leaked maps. now, if you own both w3d and w4, there is nothing wrong with doing so. of course, there is absolutly no good reason for doing that.

quick question. If I replace a w4 map with a w3d map, will it work online? or will the people connecting to me also have to replace that file?

Team17 don't like modifications like that being taken online (in fact, any modification of the game), since it can cause instability.

They ban users who cause instabilities ;)

It might not work since the graphics are kinda different:-/

It does work, but they look quite strange, that's all.
