Munkee went and got me all hooked on TS2 again. It really is great stuff, whether you're just watching to see what lunacy unfolds, or actively trying to raise your sim to new heights. If you were paying any attention to the other thread at all, you probably picked up that my most recent TS2 adventure is a recreation of Gordon Freeman (http://img234.imageshack.us/img234/6414/gordon3qa.jpg), of Half-Life fame. He's an incredibly successful sim, probably owing a lot to his extreme neatness, making him pretty easy to look after.

When he first arrived in town, he couldn't cook (http://img73.imageshack.us/img73/15/resonancecascnevermind3dr.jpg) or dance (http://img353.imageshack.us/img353/5041/14ta.jpg), but hey, his neighbors weren't so great, either. Gordon got into the science field where he belonged on day one, and climbed the ranks like nobody's business. Hell, the man started making medicine on his free time (http://img212.imageshack.us/img212/6134/gordonstuff4eo.jpg).

She was a lot lazier and messier than he, but the two always got along famously, and were really getting (http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/5710/holdme2nb.jpg) into (http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/2113/higordomnfmnfmnfmnfnf3dv.jpg) things (http://img53.imageshack.us/img53/3985/awwwww6ne.jpg) before too long. I even moved her in once with intention to make her Mrs. Freeman, but she turned out to be a Romance sim. Now I usually keep her on the other side of the phone. THEY'RE JUST NO GOOD. :mad: He also came to make friends with Circe Beaker (http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/4202/neighbors8xt.jpg) (her husband is a jerk (http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/7933/lolcanyoubelievethatloser4hk.jpg) and I tried to use the biotech station to poison him, without success (http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/9881/tipthescalesmuahahahaha3lt.jpg)), and Pollination Technician #9 Smith (http://img238.imageshack.us/img238/998/waroftheworlds7ja.jpg). Gordon had to meet him, being a man of SCIENCE (http://img238.imageshack.us/img238/7327/mediocrepower0ka.jpg).

Gordon was so ahead in his field that it didn't take him long to actually max out his Cooking, Cleaning and Logic skills, propelling him through the ranks to the second-highest Science position there is: the very appropriate Theorist. With this position, he hit the big time: For a revolutionary theory, he was awarded an instant $50,000. He wrote a novel which didn't sell very well (http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/8948/novelist1rp.jpg), he was a natural with the piano, and before long, even became quite good with paint. So that's where I am now; things have kind of wound down a bit and now I'm just keeping Gordon's nose in his intellectual pursuits. Once again, this isn't really one of those LOL THE CRAZY THINGS stories, but I thought it would be neat to have a little contrast and post something different.

The one thing that really remains is somebody to carry on the Freeman legacy, and inherit his fortune. I don't feel like adding a female (http://img347.imageshack.us/img347/2276/tlikehowyoudanceeither5yg.jpg) to the house, so instead, I have him stargaze with his expensive telescope every night, hoping for the unlikely event that would bring something small and green into the home. We'll see.

It's a trick. Have him paint a portrait, select something irrelevant to paint, then go into the game files and replace the generated screenshot (what he's going to paint) with whatever you want.

I've restarted the lost Whatever household, but with Munkee and myself starting as adults, no Ganondorf, and Pikkul added a few days later. We each made ourselves, which makes it fairly interesting. :p

Since Pikkul brought almost $20,000 with him when he moved in, I've actually managed to very nearly restore what the house was originally, much, much sooner.

Upon his arrival in existence, Antonio immediately avenged his father by slaying the couch (http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/4759/snapshotf1966ff1d24e703dh4.jpg). Nevertheless, he's unbearably cute (http://img95.imageshack.us/img95/4370/snapshotf1966ff1d24fd0cjc1.jpg), and quickly became one of the family (http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/3209/snapshotf1966ff1924e711wz1.jpg).

Mere hours after Antonio's arrival, I decided to celebrate the evening by sending Munkee to prepare the best meal he knows how, pork chops (http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/4445/snapshotf1966ff1124e742nx3.jpg), unsurprisingly a great interest to Antonio. Regrettably, Munkee decided to burn the whole damn universe down (http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/6083/snapshotf1966ff1524e76agt0.jpg). The cat didn't stop until he was off the property. The expansion pack also came with, among a good handful of other miscellaneous objects, a new phone, so I got to use our blingin' new phone to report our missin' new cat (http://img154.imageshack.us/img154/5339/snapshotf1966ff1924e788st1.jpg). Freakin' Munkee.

He was found and returned after a day or two, and it was a Kodak moment (http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/52/snapshotf1966ff1324e907cn5.jpg). Unfortunately, I forgot to save, and then the game crashed. This time it took a few more days, but he did return again, and all was well.
