Alright, so i am trying to set up my router so i can host. Right now i am forwarding 17010 - 17012 to my ip address of 192.168.1.101, which i BELIEVE is the correct IP address of my comp. When i run ipconfig it says:

IP Address...............192.168.1.101
Subnet Mask............255.255.255.0
Default Gateway.......192.168.1.1

When i go to my router set up it shows the following.

Application: which i leave blank. Do i need something here?
Start To: 17010
To
End: 17012
Protocol: Both (UDP and TCP)
Ip Address: 192.168.1.101
Endable: I have it checked off

Do i need something in Application?

Also i heard something about forwarding 6667 TCP only to my IP addres? How do i do that one, just put 6667 to 6667?

I still can't host. What am i doing wrong? I heard something about the regeditor and changing the value of AddressOverride from 0 to 1. Do i need to do that? It says Base and Hexadecimal is checked not Decimal.

Any help is MUCH appreciated. I really want to set this up so i can host. Thanks in advance!

Do i need to do anything special for Worms Armageddon or is it the same set up?

Thanks.

You have the correct port settings (although you only actually need 17011), you need to tick the "Enabled" box to on to make it work. You only need to mess with the AddressOverride in reg editor if you are running WWP, if it is W:A then there is a checkbox labeled "Force IP" in the configuration screen you can tick instead. Finally, if you are able to log into the WormNET chat channels, then you already have port 6667 open, so you don't need to do anything there.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you happen to know what i have to change the AddressOverride to? It is currnetly set to 0 and i read somewhere you need to change it to 1, although i tried and it didn't work.

Also, whats up with that Application field? Can i just leave that blank?

should i restart my comp or power cycle my router?

Thanks again. :)

Set AddressOverride to 1 for WWP. It's the equivalent of ticking the "Force IP" box in W:A. You still have to enter your external IP in though, as that is the IP you are overriding the default detected one with ;).

The application field is purely for your own purposes, so you can give it a name. It has no relevance to the actual workings of the router.

You might try rebooting your router, yes. Some require it, some don't.
