Seriously though, I'd have to say the replay value of the game is what has the most appeal to me.

Two things that will tell you whether or not any game is quality:

1) Unlockables (game modes, playable tweaks, special unlockables).
2) Replay value.

Worms 4 has these in loads!

This is a good rule of thumb to go by when considering to purchase a game.



The more any game has of this stuff, the better the game will be... there exists a strong corrlation between these elements and overall game greatness, that I've come to notice in my years of gaming.

BTW, it is not the actual unlockables that make a game quality, but that their inclusion implies that the designers took their time with the game, went the extra mile/kilometer, were creative, and weren't just trying to get a game into the market to make money...it is a strong indicator.

Seriously, it's the worms. It's worms walking (crawling?) around with crazy weapons. It's like Lego Star Wars. If you don't like Worms, you have no SOUL!

Oh, and it's an online game that is playable on 56k. That's a big bonus.

Weapons are neat too. When newbies don't hang on to strike weapons, though.

strike weapons are soo weak though, my friends that r noobs will use one and get mad that it looked like itd do alot o damage but it didnt.

They talk really funny, and they are so hilarious to use such great weapons.

Everything about it. Worms with helium filled voices obliterating each other with weapons of mass hilarity/destruction on a destruvtible lanscape. :D

Well, i play Worms, because:

-humor. Who can take seriously the game which has cows and sheeps as weapons?
-replay value. Replay value is in Worms increbible.
-Easy to play. You don't have to read 100+ pages manual to get started, 5 minutes and you know how to play.
.Worms as characters. This is especially great since new animations of Worms 4. They are simply cute and something refreshing comparing other games characters.

Worms IS just cool.. I mean, angry worms that makes war with flying-superhero-suicidal-sheep and exploding, theiving, old ladys? Who wouldn't think thats cool? (but danm, i miss the flame-thrower-tunnel-thingy from the 2D games.)

It's fun, it's funny, it's adictive, you can play with tonnes of people and one PC, or lots of PCs and one game, and it's not high spec.

And probably a fair bit more. Also it's not made by EA. :P

they talk funny,the game is fun,replayable,moddable,plus theyre funny,funny weapons.i actually first played worms armageddon with my cousin,we had huge laughs.later i forgot about it a bit,but then my friend got wwp,and then i searched on the net(i didnt have it earlier)for new worms.i played wa,wwp,w3d,wblast(huge disappointment)and w4m.

i like it because its a simple game; simple to learn, easy on the eyes, cartoonish...

yet packs infinite possibilities of skills, evil tricks, strategy, customization, humour from random dumb moves, exploitation of bugs as strategic gameplay, or just click-and-shoot without thinking.

its cool because a newbie has a chance of owning you in a game.
and up till now, ive not heard of cheaters who spoil gameplay unlike games like counterstrike and gunbound.

i dont think any other creature, animal or annelid can aptly fit the profile of such a game except for a stubby beige worm with a big head

I like the game because... well... it's just ridiculous and insane. And cartoonish and it just rocks because it rocks :cool:
