===================

If you are having trouble running the demo on your PC, you might want to try some of the following (please PM me (http://forum.team17.co.uk/member.php?u=7099) to let me know if they worked / didn't work) -

1. If you PC has Hyper-threading you may sometimes get the "blue screen of death" during play (particularly if your PC has an Audigy sound card). If so, please try the following:
Right-click the shortcut you use to run the demo.
Go to the Compatibility pane.
In the "Compatibility Mode" section, check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for" box, and select "Windows 98 / Windows ME" in the drop-down box.
Now try double clicking this shortcut.

2. If your PC has an Audigy sound card, the game may not shut down correctly when you exit it. You may have to press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to bring up the TaskManager, and then end the game process manually.

3. If the game just displays a black screen when you start it up, try checking "No Movies" in the Launcher app before you start the game. If you still have a problem, try ALT+TAB'ing away from the game, and then back to it.

4. You might want to try checking "No Movies" and "No Sound" in the launcher to see if that helps. Also, try setting the resolution to 800x600 and the refresh rate to 60Hz.

5. It also seems that there are some compatibility problems with PCs running in "Cool and Quiet" mode. If this feature is enabled on your PC and the demo doesn't start up correctly, please try disabling it in your BIOS and see if that helps (restart your machine, right at the start of the boot up sequence press DEL - this will take you into the BIOS menus, find the Cool and Quiet option and disable it, save and quit BIOS menus.... if you haven't messed around in your BIOS before, please be careful).

6. If you have any other problems, of course check that you have latest drivers for you graphics card & sound card, etc. Also check that your PC meets the minimium hardware specs.

Hope some of this helps.
