What is intro.exe?

I have no such file in my worms directory or my worms cd and I just checked the italian patch and that doesn't have an intro.exe file either.
The only file I can find called intro is an .avi video file.

Dont run Intro.exe

Just run frontend.exe

That's interesting.
I've tried to borrow Worms II and I've discovered that every cd had the same files I had.
Is that possible?

Bye

I can't see any file calle Frontend.exe.
Do you think I've got some problem?
Thank You again

I dont have the intro.exe file:
LOOK!
This pic was taken from the INSTALLATION DIRECTORY of the UNPATCHED Worms2 Sold Out Software version (UK)

And now for the boring stuff
The frontend file contains all the menus and stuff to start the game via Landgen and Worms2.exe. The INTRO.EXE file DOES NOT EXIST ON THE CD! The file is SETUP.EXE. Unless you know something I dont (whitch is unlikely because is searched) then I would like you to send me a PROOF IMAGE of the intro.exe icon.

Download patch from worms2.com, install & run frontend.exe

Download patch from worms2.com, install & run frontend.exe
Even though the Setup program installs the frontend.exe file anyway (at least with the british ver)

NOTE TO ANYONE WHO HAS THIS PROBLEM AND A UNPATCHED VERSION OF WORMS 2
I could supply you with a frontend.exe file but I have the risk of being banned or summat. So therefore it would help if someone from T17 or a mod could say I can.

You´re using illegal copy of Worms 2.
Intro.exe is hacked version of Frontend.exe.

This error comes because WinXP doesn´t run Intro.exe.

But yes, Frontend.exe is also in my directory.
You should just buy the game. ;)

Does that mean that he still has a illegal copy as he copied the frontend.exe from another person and it still has possibly hacked versions of lets say landgen

It seems so.
He didn´t even get Frontend.exe legally did he? ;)

Oh, I've ever bought a Crazybytes CD with many games, including Worms 2. So that **** is illegal? :( It worked on Windows 98 but it doesn't on 2000.
I wanna play this game, but it isn't aviable in the Netherlands.
I tried the patch but it says No CD because it seems illegal.
Is there anything I can do?
Here is a shot of the dir:

Well, then you have to buy it from the internet.
Here for example:
https://secure.team17.com/browse.html?area=detail&skuid=79
It'll cost you €15.73 including shipping to the Netherlands.
And you'll have Worms Armageddon too, which is the best of the 2nd generation games anyway.

I don't want to spend E15 on a 10 year old game ;)
I don't want Armeggadon:
A my PC doesn't run it
B It seems to be not very good
C I love classics

Worms Armageddon is the best worms game there is. It is almost identical to Worms 2 in graphics, the new updates help it to run on almost any computer too.

So you instead expect help on the official Team17 forum to get your pirated, cracked copy of W2 running?
You won't get around paying for a legal copy before you'll get any help here.

Your computer is too weak to run WA, but it can run W2?
W2 requirements (http://w2.team17.com/main.html?page=abou&area=requ)
WA requirements (http://wa.team17.com/main.html?page=abou&area=requ)
Seems your CPU doesn't have 100MHz, but has at least 75MHz.
And your RAM is somewhere between 16MB and 32MB.

Or could it be that you only had a pirated, cracked copy of WA too, which didn't work either?
B It seems to be not very good
It is the best, most feature-rich of all the 2nd generation Worms games.
C I love classics
Well, WA is a classic too. It's only 2 years younger than W2...

Well in that case, we can't help you to get Worms2 working. However, we can give you a nice banning from this forum, if that's any consolidation.

Oh sorry for that, I thought it was the newest 3D Worms ;)
Then I gotta wait till I find it in some shop.

@Plasma: Not very nice, starting warning with bans before you understand it :(

Well, I could be wrong, and that Crazybytes really did sign a deal that they're allowed to publish Worms2 along with all those other games. But I really, really doubt that!

Uh sorry I don't understand you(bad English, sorry).
But I just thought I bought a CD with a collection of legal games. ;)
