Is it possible to play WWP with custom screen resolutions? I use a widescreen monitor with a resolution of 1280*720. As it stands the game image is stretched out and it's a pain setting up the monitor for this one game.

Thanks in advance,

Matt

It ought to be possible... I once saw a hack for W2 that let you change the resolution to pretty much anything you wanted to.
On W:A (if patched) you can set the resolution freely from within the game. Since Armageddon and World Party (and Worms 2 for that matter) all use the same engine, I don't see a reason why you shouldn't be able to change the screen res in WWP.

I'm especially interested in a more positive answer to this question... None of the game's resolutions are at all playable on my 1440*900 widescreen.

I'm now trying to make a hack to enable custom resolutions in WWP.

My first idea is to hack DirectDraw's ddraw.dll - I have found two similar projects:

- DDFix (http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=121449) for the Thief series
- D3D_DDraw_Proxy (http://www.viperpits.org/smf/index.php?topic=5797.0) for OpenFalcon

I have contacted both developers for help (since I'm new to this) and will keep you guys posted.
