No. the random seed generator would not be able to do that. its job is to convert words into numbers and numbers into landscapes. You would unlock a map like that with the missions...

there was one map i liked which my friend typed in, but i've forgotten it. I'll see if he can remember. watch this space.

Bought Worms3D almost 2 days ago now. Very cool and im completekly addicted to it.

Decided to try out some levels and I came across this rather cool one...

863206 - Sort of an England themed level with loads of house dispersed across quite large land blocks. The first generated level ive made that im actually keen on playing and doesnt just look like the run of the mill generated ones.

Someone said that it would be impossible for like Team17 to be a speciall map ?
Why is it impossible ? In worms1 it work :)

In the land creator, put the Arctic theme on full 100%. Put 4 teams into the game and when it starts up you have a really small island. All the mines will go off at once! It's really cool!

(Makes for a 5 second game though!)

If you start a game with mines and barrels, they destroy the landscape, killing everyone before you can take your go!

Its dumb when you write "try this : xyz, it's cool map".... how am I suppose to know what will I get?

Anyway, a new level I found :

Code : east
Description : Not so big map. One high main island with a cool deep hole in it. Few tiny floating islands around it.
Special : The deep hole (which ends in water) in the center of the high main-island is just so cool! you can hide in it and it would be very very difficult to hurt you - but you'll have some problems with YOUR attacks! very cool, worth a try.
Recommended # of players : 2-6. As I said before, your motion in this level is very hard. Its a little map, but its really not that easy to access your enemy. Many players will just miss the main idea of the map, which is trying to locate and hurt your enemy in hard locations.

Here's 3 nice ones:

satan - Lunar level with a load of connecting bridges.

!!??!!??!!??!!?? - Pirate level with a huge balloon (which i'd never seen before)

dracula's teabag - Nice England level with a big house and two goats.

Which is a few islands floating around, and of course a broken bridge, Pirate.

Thats all that fits if you type "The Great Escape", can't remember waht this is like, but its stuck in my mind for some reason.

The code "Allez-vous en" is a great Horror map. The thing that makes it so fun is that it goes super-high into the air. You can whack a worm with the baseball bat off the very top of the terrain, and it takes the worm about 6 seconds to hit the water. Once, I used the homing missile at the bottom of the terrain to hit a worm at the top, and the missile ran out of fuel right as it was at the top, which was kind of cool. It is also only possible to reach the top by teleport or ninja rope becuase the "altitude" is so high.

I'm proud of this code (Allez-vous en). Cheesydudeis explaining how to eject the worm on the top of the map, it is funny because "allez-vous en" is the french for "go away".

Tomorrow I will describe all the code maps I've found by re-editing my precedent posts. And some of them are excellent.

Allez-vous en : I think its the first special level here, maybe after those one-island tiny maps (as "Wooky").

I think its the highest level ever. If you throw a 5-fused grenade in full power and 85 degrees down (almost totally down) - it sinks when the fuse is 2 secs! Just think about it - If you throw a grenade with all of your power directly down, It will take 3 secs till it will get to the ground....

And even more - if you're parachuting from the top of the level, you'll waste a 90secs turn (!).

Anyway, you MUST play this level to understand the height of it. its just enormous!

P.S.
It would be interesting to chute from the top of the level to the endless skyline.... maybe there would be an easter egg or something :p

Someone posted another code that gave a temple shaped island, looks ace. I SURVIVED WOOKY, almost. Allez-vous en IS incredibly high.....

Ones I managed to find out after spedning 40 mins chruning through codes.. ouch *rubs hands* :D

Lunar Maze - almost like a maze with ledges and a middle bit hiding the paths below

Pirates:

Intepid doom - Low grounds with bridges and good really good scenery (note the dual swords and Icecream! and a bucket and spade?!?)

Fire and ice - lots of small landmass with bridges, some landmarks

Horror:

Double Backslah - Wierd level, with normal large landmass bits and some rising pincles on one side!

Forgotten Life - Good High horror, look out for the leaning mummy somewhere unusual! First person who finds it gets a cookie!

Others, good can't remember the locations:

"ChillOut" - huge map thats suprisingly land filled. Lots of bridges, mostly flat with a few floating islands for tactical advantage. Just about every part can be walked to.

...or is it possible, that the jetpack does work less effective the higher you get? I played the Allez-vous en map yesterday and wanted to jetpack down to an enemy. But I dropped two thirds of the map before the jetpack started working. Was this some mistake on my part or does is the air getting thinner??

The jetpack SHOULD only go to a certain height, then its does start to slow down. Although, some people have got it to go EXTREMELY high.

Its not exactly a large map, basically a gigantic structure-like building that is about 5 stories tall, on top there is anywhere between 6-7 explosive barrels. Best to play with lots of jetpacks! :D

That would be cool. Something like where the list would be on one side of the page, and when you clicked on it, the preview would show up in a 'preview' window on the other side...

I could make something like that, except I'm afraid of the size of people's attachments.

I don't know how to limit them, so I'm afraid the database would grow too large and take forever to load...

Anyone have any suggestions??

Well, it wouldn't be one of those run-of-the-mill, pre-made forums. It would be an Online App/interface, connected thru a database.

I would make this myself.

But I'm not quite sure how to do uploads, or to limit their file size.

But, this does sound like a great project, and I'll be looking into it! :D

the one-main-etc-etc is a huge island with 2 or 3 little islands floating near it (I think thats what you're looking for).

"random" isn't an eater egg level... If you think it is becuase of the Buffalo of Lies, then you're wrong. I've done plenty of maps with the Buffalo of Lies on it.

Nothing special about it, except if you watch the Austin Powers series. In which case you mind the submarine in the middle vaguely humourous.

try CounterStrike , it's not so very amazing, but i have a question: There are airbaloons in the air, and computers teleport INTO them, and when i try, i only teleport ON them.

What am i doing wrong?

If you could get the camera (and therefore the crosshair) in there you could teleport in there too. In the interests of a usable interface T17 neglected to allow a full 3D crosshair system for the teleport. Some say it's a shame, but everyone else just says "knock it off, K^2, it'd be far, far too complicated".

There's way big difference between the preview and the map ingame...

This is kind of silly but write 'Boob' with out the apostrophes and you'll get a cool bridge level

Not sure exactly if thats appropriate, but I need a title!
When you change land size/amount of objects etc. The number at the top is increased by a certain amount. For example, every time you click "Height of Land", 25 is added onto the current number, another 25 if you click again, etc until you reach 0% again, in which case it is reset. How does that help? It doesn't, but I'm chuffed I noticed it!;)

Also, if you have a map you like (Allez-vous en for example) and you want a similar one, simply type it into the generator, then click "random" (the question mark). The values (Items, amount of land) should stay the same, but the map will change, usually similar to what you had to begin with. Try it!

I've picked the coolest and most extreme ones and put them on a page on my Worms site (http://bloopy.topcities.com/worms/codes.html), and hopefully credited them all to their correct discoverers. I've also made a printer-friendly page with the codes on it because you peeps probably want to print them out! I will think about adding screenshots too.

Please do not send me landscape codes, just post them in this thread and I will keep watching. :cool: Just make sure you include a description of some sort. I would tell you which codes are my favourites so far but you probably already know by the ones I chose to put on my site. ;)

Undoubtfully, "Allez-vous en" is the biggest discover so far.
I wish someone will find an easter-map :(

If you type Allez-vous en and then change to England and generate a little if you have to you will get maps just a small bit smaller than Allez-vous en but it has a nice cheerful themem to it.

when the mission editor will come out, this normal level (look at the picture) will be the greatest mission map!
why? this map looks like someone really designed it - you can get from the really bottom of it to one of the bridges! you just need to think fast, to think good, to be accurate and to be quick! and thats all what you need for doing missions, aren't you?

When I had a match against the computer in that level, I played with the "Crate Drops only" (you don't have weapons, you collect them from crates), It felt like mission! I had only Donkey, Lottery strike, 2 Mega mines, Doctors strike and blowpipe - and I had to win the computer only with those weapons! and sometimes the crates were far away and I had no weapons so I had to go all the way, and sometimes its REALLY difficult! I poisoned most of the computer's worms with the blowpipe... the lottery was useless, and I almost didn't have the donkeys.....

finally, I had to kill only one worm. but it was in the other bridge, and I had only blowpipe.... I tried to go all the way up with my worm at the bottom of one of the mountains, and I found it is possible!

I did all the way up - very accurately - and got to the enemy worm which had only 1 HP because it was poisoned, and I killed him with the blowpipe, which does 1 HP damage!!!

No doubt, this regular match was a MISSION.

I have one that I found out about today, I think the number are: 4332574, hope it's the right one, you should play it in arctic for best result, since then there will be some funny objects in the middle of it and so on.

No. the random seed generator would not be able to do that. its job is to convert words into numbers and numbers into landscapes. You would unlock a map like that with the missions...
You can easily add a few lines of code to check if the entered string is a "special" one, and if it is, divert it from a random generator to another function which will simply recall an existing map.

It's like two completly different maps.
It's made up of two parts:One is touching the water and the other is high up in the air.Both parts are like medium-sized levels.

This map is something like a large fort, a big peace of Arctic land, has a covered passage connecting to sides of the fort, a few ready holes for darksiders, stairs on the sides, a small sniping point near the top, and it's really big! And it's an ideal map for those, who hate drowning worms!

Kung-FU - A really amazing pirate level! It's a big piece of land with tunnels to hide in, shipwrecks, sand fortresses, a flying ship and a few medium-sized islands with bridges. The big "fortress" with tunnels is an incredibly usefull spot - you can attack anybody on the surrounding islands, because of the tunnels that allow you to reach all sides of the "fortress":D

This one was a rather lucky find... I typed in my zip code and played with the land size button, I was quite surprised when I found it. A suggestion for finding good maps: type in your phonenumber, housenumber, zip code, you never know what you'll find!

I found something interesting in this thread too, the code 'Boob' posted by Kjatte and the code 'Sana' posted by DaiTrialz give different numbers in the landscape generator, but the terrains are identical (well I couldn't see any difference). Even stranger is that both these people posted screenshots, how mysterious. :)

It's so crazy it's my map of choice in multiplayer now... and after I drove my brother insane with the base ball bat, he wanted to try...

It's pretty good, the beached subs are right next to each other, wth a good arch to hide under, but that's pretty much it. I also found another pirate map with a balloon, but I can't remember the exact name... Ill post it when I think of it

Another note about my first map, if you do rising water deathmatch start it right away, since the land is so high up it will take a long time for the water to even touch the ice

in the multiplayer, go to set up the landscape for the game and put the code into the box in the top right

Just Type in: 95247329 on Arctic theme. Put all the stuff on 100% except for land-blocks wich is supposted to be 33%.
Do this on night setting. And Wormpot modes: Damage X2, Slippery mode and Extra Damage from fall. And last, Infinite on everything, no delay and no crates of the infine weapons.
Get ready to shake your coconuts as almost everything will blow upp!!!:cool: :cool:
